How is a request priced?
Every model has a price per million input tokens and per million output tokens. We meter the tokens the carrier reports for your request and multiply by the model's listed price. The price on the model page is the price you pay.
Do you add a markup on tokens?
No. Pay-as-you-go passes the model's listed per-token price straight through. There is no subscription and no platform fee on usage.
What happens when my balance runs out?
Requests to paid models answer HTTP 402 until you add credits. Free models keep working at a zero balance.
Can I cap what a single API key spends?
Yes. Every key can carry its own credit limit. Once a key's usage reaches its limit it answers 402, while your other keys keep working.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits stay on your account until you spend them.
